Colin Stewart began his career in the Non-Destructive Testing field, performing Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Radiography in the pulp and paper mills across Western Canada. Returning to school in 1992, Colin studied Welding Engineering Technology at SAIT in Calgary. Upon graduation he moved into the area of site quality control for mechanical contractors in the oil-sands and power generation fields in BC and Alberta. For a time he was employed as a quality manager in an ASME vessel and piping shop and as a field inspector for a local refinery. He spent a few years working for a local Engineering company, traveling domestically and internationally, performing supplier audits, equipment inspections and site Quality Assurance on equipment installation. Colin is currently employed with Metro Vancouver as a welding inspector in the Engineering and Construction Division.
